Scraps + Trim = Dress
After completing the green hooded garment for the PAA-ITAA competition, I was left with a few scraps of fabric and some gold trim. In sewing lab, my class had worked on draping and drafting a boned bodice top and a sheath dress. I simply used the pattern pieces from the bottom half of the sheath dress, which formed a skirt. Then, I used the bodice pattern pieces and made a corset top, leaving out the boning (it wasn't necessary).
Finishing touches: added trim along the princess lines and the waist, and added a large black exposed zipper.
