Summer 2012 in New York City
Having an apparel design internship with Wes Gordon was truly incredible. Wes has great talent for a young, American designer.
Working with his pattern maker, Yutaka Hasegawa, allowed me to work on patterns, sew production samples, and enhance my experience and knowledge in pattern making and construction.
Hermes of Paris
Connecting with Special Events coordinators, Julie Vignuelle and Tyler Boe opened doors for me. Hermes is such a respectable, family oriented brand and interning for them would be an incredible experience.
Sachin + Babi
Being in the city for the summer led to great connections. I was referred to Babi through a family friend who knew Babi very well. I stopped by the studio and got to meet the two designers themselves!
Derrek is the Senior Designer of Denim/ Casual & Tailored Pants at Banana Republic. I met with him and another designer, Eric, who does all outerwear for the Gap. They introduced me to other Gap and Banana Republic designers from Hong Kong, LA, and India. It was a great evening filled with good conversation and a lot of great advice.
